The 2026 WAIS Annual Conference was held September 19-24th at the Wailea Beach Resort on Maui, Hawaii. 

Membership is not required to attend the conference. WAIS welcomes non-member physicians, physician extenders and allied health professionals working in the field of minimally invasive, image-guided therapies to register and attend the annual conference. The conference, activities and hotel reservations typically sell out months in advance of the conference.

In accordance with ACCME standards, the WAIS planning committee identifies IR subject matter experts to present on topics identified as practice gaps and/or emerging technologies.  Program faculty are invited by the WAIS Scientific Program Director and the WAIS planning committee.  Faculty are automatically registered for the conference and invited to attend the full conference, as well as networking activities.  


The WAIS conference includes an exhibit hall adjacent to the general session hall with dedicated program breaks to facilitate networking with corporate representatives and time to visit exhibit booths.  To request a copy of the exhibitor prospectus, kindly send an email to susan@westernangio.org.

Wailea Beach Resort, a Marriott Bonvoy Property

Wailea Beach Resort is a AAA 4-Diamond resort.  Recent additions to the award-winning property include Sundeck Collection guest rooms, an adults-only pool, a summer dining series and a refreshed menu at Te Au Moana Lūʻau.. The Grand Wailea is a Forbes 5-star luxury resort with a recently completed $350m revitalization.  Grand Wailea is known for its expansive water features (a 25,700-square-foot area that spans six levels and includes nine interconnected pools, a lazy river, seven waterslides, waterfalls, caves, and a rope swing).  The resort also boasts direct beach access, Hawaii's largest private art collection, and the recently reimagined Kilolani Spa.





WAIS CANCELLATION POLICY FOR BOTH DISCOUNTED ROOM BLOCKS:

Any and all adjustments to a reservation after August 18th, 2026, which may include full or partial cancellation or no shows, will be assessed the cost of the full length of stay, plus applicable taxes. Any such charges will be the individual Guest’s responsibility and not the responsibility of Western Angiographic & Interventional Society. We ask that you kindly make a note of this important deadline.
